Find Your Fruit.

Happy Martin Luther King Day!

“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.  Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers.  A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”  (The Greatest Love Story Ever Told)

What type of tree are you?

What’s in the “produce” section of your life?

What are you full of—what do people most come and pick from you?

You will be known in life by the fruit you bear—what you produce for society to choose from.  Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company, once said: “You can’t build a reputation on what you’re going to do.” So, how about you?  Is your reputation built on rock or sand?  On motive or action?  On words or deeds?  On promises or performance? (See Pr. 20:11).

In 2019, find and discover what you do well–better than anyone else–and make a brand or life out of it.  Build your entire life around the best fruit you produce (e.g. love, joy, speaking, coaching, writing, creativity, counseling, administration, athletic ability).  God put a seed in your life for you to sow, nurture and grow.  Don’t spend your entire life doing something that merely produces results in someone else’s life.

Find a job that produces their fruit—fulfills their dreams—and yours.

Don’t just find your passion. Find your fruit.
